  • Choose public locations: Meet in safe, busy areas such as police stations, public parking lots, or marketplaces.

  • Avoid secluded spots: Never agree to meet at isolated or unfamiliar locations.

  • Check all documents: Always inspect the RC, PUC, and insurance papers.

  • Confirm ownership: Verify that the seller’s name on the ID matches the name on the RC.

  • Avoid fake urgency: Don’t rush because a seller says they’re “moving abroad” or “need to sell immediately.”

  • Claims of “shipping” or “courier pickup” services.

  • Impersonation of RTO officers, police, or MotorMela representatives.

  • Requests for your OTP, personal ID, or payment details.
